Happy Friday everyone!
As always, we are here to give you a great round-up of the week’s inbound marketing happenings. So grab a beer, relax, and get stuck in.
At the heart of inbound marketing is great content. However, great content is not enough. It needs to be beautiful, appealing and digestible.
A great way of presenting your content in a way your audience will love is via an ebook. And the lovely thing is that you do not need to spend lots of money getting a design agency designing one for you. The kings of inbound marketing have put together a great set of ebook templates that you can edit in Powerpoint. YES…Powerpoint!
In true inbound fashion, you do need to give HubSpot your email address in exchange for these great templates…but we definitely think it is worth it!
P.S. HubSpot also has an older version of ebook templates which are just as useful. You can get them here.
As you can probably tell, we are massive fans of Moz’s Whiteboard Friday piece, and we have a (not so) secret crush on Rand Fishkin.
This week’s Whiteboard Friday did not disappoint.
Setting goals in all aspects of marketing is so important. However, more and more marketers are putting less thought than they should into the specific goals behind the content they produce. This Whiteboard Friday outlines some goals for targeting different kinds of people, from those who merely stumbled upon your site to those who are strongly considering becoming customers.
Neil Patel is making another appearance in our Friday Night Takeaway…this time for another great resource-laden article on the topic of conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
CRO is something that makes people shudder because it sounds complicated. Don’t shy away from it. Sure, becoming good at it takes time. The beautiful thing is, though, is that it costs very little money. The real win, however, is the in the results. Once you optimise your site for more conversions, you can raise conversions, and improve revenue. The ROI is huge.
In this article, Neil Patel presents 6 FREE resources that help with Conversion Rate Optimisation.
Twitter is a massive driver of traffic for us here at Learn Inbound. But we are really conscious that we have to keep our feed fresh and engaging.
This great article from the lovely people at the Social Media Examiner give some great tips on making your Tweets more creative.
Try them out and let us know how you get on!
PR activity is essential for all companies. Traditionally, press releases were written and sent out on PR release sites in the hope that someone would pick up on the story. However, this just does not cut it now. If you really want to tap into the benefits of online PR, you’ve got to take a long-term view and build your credibility with the media, and your clients.
This great article from Search Engine Watch presents some great tips on how to really harness the power of online PR. It covers everything from planning to outreach to tactics.
This week, we covered Buffer as our tool of the week in our Tool Time Wednesday piece. We use it every day and it makes our lives easier. By using it, it means that we have a few extra minutes in the day to grab a few extra cuppas. In the article, Mark presents a walk-through of how to use and get the most out of this great tool – from creating a schedule to integrating it with other apps, to measuring your activity.
That about wraps up another Friday Night Takeaway. Have a great weekend everyone!
