Online Acquisition & Email Marketing Manager

We are looking for a high‐energy Online Acquisition & Email Marketing Manager who can bring a combination of skills to become a committed team member working in conjunction with our other staff dedicated to making LetzGo City Tours become a major player in the tour sightseeing business. This is an intern position offering you the freedom and support to really develop commercial experience. We will offer a bonus and the prospect of a full-time job.

Responsibilities

The Online Acquisition and Email Marketing Manger is responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies to drive web traffic and revenues and keep LetzGo City Tours on the leading edge of online marketing.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the online acquisition strategy in order to aggressively grow LetzGo City Tours online conversions.
  • Develop, implement annual e-marketing plans & budgets
  • Manage the execution of online media programs/campaigns including media targeting, creative production, tracking & post analysis of campaigns
  • Banner advertising
  • Search engine marketing & optimization & Email campaigns
  • Plan and support online requirements for lead generation initiatives
  • Responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of online results to ensure key performance measurements are being met.
  • Manage the online vendor/agency relationships to maintain long term value
  • Work closely with our internal partners/departments to ensure a smooth customer experience, efficient use of internal resources

Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing online strategies including SEM, SEO, online media and email campaigns including experience in online marketing including a minimum 2 years in e-marketing
  • Innovative and creative
  • Strong organisational, project management, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree (Business/Marketing major preferred)
  • Experience with CMS and web analytics reporting software
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

LetzGo City Tours objective is to develop a strong B2C presence with high visibility, increased traffic, and sales that are derived from our web marketing programs with an expectation of a solid return in the form of increased interest, solid sales leads, and the conversion of leads into consistent revenue streams.  As we develop we anticipate developing a strong B2C presence with distributors and wholesalers too.

Job Description:

The primary focus of the SEO/SEM professional is to provide the strategy and technical expertise that is required to achieve a strong presence on the search engines, increase qualified search engine traffic and online sales or lead generation for clients.

  •  Generate content; optimise copy, site structure and landing pages for Search Engine Marketing
  •  Advocate and work with common social media platforms
  •  Create online marketing plans
  •  Analyse web metrics and analytics
  •  Create reports and presentations

Responsibilities

Website Analysis: Review and analyse client sites for areas that need to be improved, deleted, revamped, etc.; prepare detailed SEO/SEM strategy reports.

Keyword Analysis, Research & Copywriting: In‐depth knowledge of keyword research. This includes knowing how to identify the least expensive, yet most profitable keywords for our PPC campaign in addition to improving organic search results.

SEO Copywriting: Responsible for creating some original SEO content, in addition to implementing SEO‐friendly semantic HTML.

Conduct keyword research and SEO writing based on best practices, e.g. where to place keywords in copy so that it gets the most SE traffic, how to write effective headlines and how to write effective call‐ to‐action statements.

On‐line Marketing and Social Media Programs: Ability to understand company needs and objectives and translate them into clearly articulated strategies and effective on‐line marketing programs. Research and select the best promotional venues, vehicles and partnership sites and link to. Propose and implement meaningful measurement and metrics tools.

Liaison: Interface effectively with team members. Present ideas and programs convincingly.

Requirements and Skills

Search Engine Guidelines: Maintain a current understanding of both good and bad search engine optimisation tactics: keep abreast of white hat and black hat tactics so as not to run afoul of search engine guidelines.

Technology Skills: 2 years of web experience is required including knowledge of web‐marketing and blogging platforms as well as MS Office. Must know the “language of SEO,” and be able to adapt the concepts in a manner that is meaningful to our business.

Communication Skills: The SEM/SEO Specialist interacts with many different parties and must, therefore, have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self‐Starter: As the position entails many elements, it requires a true self‐starter who doesn’t require hand‐holding, is able to assess a situation, develop a plan, get approval and run with it.

Analytical Thinker: It is imperative that SEO specialists possess critical thinking and analytical skills. They should be able to readily identify problems and formulate practical solutions to meet client objectives within their budgets.
